The Vitec group company has evolved planning and scheduling solutions

The company

Based in Cassola (VI), Manfrotto designs, manufactures, and distributes a wide range of professional camera and lighting supports for the photography, video, film, and entertainment markets. The product line includes a wide range of tripods and camera heads, lighting stands and accessories. Manfrotto is part of the Vitec Group and is a world leader in providing premium products and solutions for the image and video content creation market.


The challenge

Manfrotto and the Vitec group, in strong growth, had to face the limits of the MRP in previous use that was in difficulty with the refinement and complexity of Vitec’s planning. The company has thus chosen to replace the MRP with a more advanced tool with greater potential.

Other objectives concerned the search for a tool that would allow both Make To Stock and Assembly To Order production to be planned and capable of eliminating the complexities created.


The solution

The software selection carried out led to the choice of the CyberPlan APS and its rapid implementation. Cybertec’s solution was immediately set up on a management of different horizons, from materials to semi-finished products up to finished products and from the forecasting of sales volumes to the management of real orders. The selection team has selected the software in order to manage both the purchasing and programming phases.



Also thanks to the Advanced Planning and Scheduling solution, today Manfrotto and the entire Vitec group manage their own

production, whose product range is extremely wide and varied.

In addition to this, Vitec Group and Manfrotto also manage the two production types adopted ATO and MTS  and keep production complexity under control in a few minutes thanks to effective warehouse and service level management as well as providing the factory with a production plan synchronised between purchases and the production department.
